Juniors kick off this weekend with a trip to the Ponderosa.

I have it on good authority that they have repaired the fence on the train station side so you have to walk around or risk taking the car.

Under 16's had a big win:

Central District 2.2 ... 3.3 ... 5.6 ... 6.11 (47)
Glenelg ... 1.3 ... 5.6 ... 10.6 ... 17.7 (109)

Goals: Luke Candy (4.1), Max Atkin (3.0), Isaiah Clothier (2.1), Ryder Window (2.0), Timothy Alver (1.1), Finn Crouch (1.0), Reed Francis-Nia Nia (1.0), Rex Jones (1.0), Ned McCarthy (1.0), Jacob McNicol (1.0)

Under 18's fell short:

Central District ... 1.4 ... 6.5 ... 11.7 ... 12.8 (80)
Glenelg ... 4.2 ... 7.4 ... 9.4 ... 10.8 (68)

Goals: Ashton Moir (4.3), Zac Earl (1.1), Harry Francis (1.1), Ben Camporeale (1.0), Charlie McAuliffe (1.0)

SANFL wrote:Central District overcame a slow start to record a confidence-boosting 12-point win against reigning premier Glenelg at X Convenience Oval.

Despite only managing one goal in the opening quarter en route to trailing by 16 points at the first change, the Bulldogs quickly got themselves back into the contest by booting 5.1 in the second stanza.

But it was the third term which proved pivotal as the hosts slammed on 5.2 while holding the Tigers to just 2.0 to set up the victory.

Bulldog Sebastian Wauer was everywhere to register 30 disposals, six marks and two goals while Samuel Sibbick and Riley McDonald were also prominent as teammate Tallan Rosenzweig booted four goals.

Glenelg excitement machine Ashton Moir, in line for League selection this week, did his chances of promotion no harm by booting 4.3 from 18 disposals and 10 marks.

Tigers Charlie McAuliffe and Bodie Ryan were also solid contributors but their efforts weren’t enough to overcome Central’s tenacity.
