Both teams on top after Rd one

18s Great debut win for Coach Sliiiiiick!

A strong second-half showing from Glenelg catapulted it to a 40-point win against West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium.

Leading the Bloods by just three points at half-time, the Bays piled on 7.8 to the hosts’ 1.7 to secure the premiership points.

Tigers co-captain Charlie McAuliffe was rated his side’s best with 27 disposals and a goal while Oliver Betterman (16 disposals) and Angus Clarke (25 disposals, eight marks) also stood tall.

West’s Hamish Dow (21 disposals, nine marks), Gus Downs and Lucas White (22 disposals) did their best to haul their side over the line.

16s have 28 scoring shots to 11 for a 10 goal win over west

Glenelg proved too good for West Adelaide by claiming a 62-point victory to open the SANFL U16 season at Hisense Stadium.

The Tigers took a 22-point lead into the half-time break, but put the foot down in the second half by extending the margin late in the contest.

Max Atkin was dangerous inside-50 for the black-and-gold, finishing with 4.3 from his 22 disposals.

Tigers Harvey Croker (33 disposals and four clearances) and Jacob McNicol (33 disposals and 10 inside-50s) found plenty of the football, as did Bloods on-baller Ryan McAulay (21 disposals and eight clearances).
