Reserves Trial vs Eagles - Stats

Postby Ecky » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:48 pm

There was some dispute about the final score as the scoreboard kept stuffing it up

We had
Glenelg 14-8 92
Eagles 12-11 83

although the final scoreboard score I think was 14-7 to 12-12.

Goals: Kirkby Holmes 3, Day Hunyadi 2, Contin Milne Percy Sutherland 1

Player Kicks-Handballs-Marks

Backwell 19-10-3
Longman 8-12-1
Allen 11-8-2
Lally 12-7-3
Horan 7-10-2
Percy 7-9-6
Hunyadi 13-3-5
Redden 8-6-4
Holmes 8-6-2 (1st half only before being called up to the League side)
Tutt 9-5-4
Saunders 6-7-2
Kirkby 5-8-4
Milne 8-4-1
Cranston 4-7-0 (19 hitouts)
Button 6-5-5
Contin 6-5-3
Wood 6-5-1
Thompson 6-3-1
Austin 1-7-1
Anderson 3-4-1
Cooper 4-3-0
Doyle 2-3-2
Day 4-1-2
Sutherland 1-3-1 (but he was happy with his 15 hitouts and 7 tackles)
Wade 2-1-2

We will not compromise the SANFL competition (with AFL reserves teams)."

Cheers Ecky.

Positive that Cranny and Backwell had good showings, and our Reserves have won two of the three trials...

Excellent stuff and shows the depth continues to be strong, given we still have about 8 first-choice players out with injury.
When I die, scatter my ashes all over the Glenelg Football Oval.
