Reserves thread vs $trut Our Round 1

Postby Speedy Tigers! » Fri Apr 13, 2007 8:55 am

From the paper

Treloar, Tutt. Fosdike, Sugars, Plant, Sutherland, Boak, Button, Day, Holmes, O'Grady, Bradley, Block, Wallent, Guilhaus. Horan, Longman, Hansen, Bell, Kellock, Puhle.

I think only Sugars (1), Block and Horan (and maybe bell?) have ever played league from the above!

+ good to see Pumpa back in the 2's.

+ My hit pick junior of the week is Aaron Day.

Despite what the GFC website may tell you, Brad Bell has played 2 League games.

Didnt he break his arm on a goal post in a league game at Norwood Oval a few years back?

Was one of the least memorable senior debuts for the club. I guess the positive thing for him is that he is still a chance to kick a goal with his first kick in Reserves footy! :)

PS We had 5 debutants in the Reserves: Bartlett, Boak, Fosdike, Hansen and Lewis. And 3 in the League: Kane, Murphy and Rudolph.

Seriously?

So are you telling me that when the Pearce out/Logan in thing was announced (on Friday IIRC) the GFC couldn't work out that we need another player on the saturday/sunday?

Even if the Pearce thing was a last minute thing, they would have known well before the under 19's started, would it have been better for someone to even sit on the bench in the 19's to save themselves for the ressies the next day?

I probably shouldn't be saying this, but we all know that the communication betwen the Power and Glenelg is not the best...
