Reserves vs &trut

Postby Speedy Tigers! » Fri Aug 31, 2007 10:50 am

From the paper

Horan, Mitchell, Button, McGregor, Sellar, Lally, Graham, Lewis, Day, Wallent, C.Kane, Kellock, Liebelt, Wallent (again, named twice), Block, Willo-B, Treloar, Pumpa, Fosdike.

the ONLY players without league experience (so far) are Wallent, Chris Kane, Liebelt, and Pumpa!

Ecky, strongest reserves team since (?)

PS Where's Braddles?

I'm guessing there wasn't room for Bradley, Vallance and Longman! (unless one of them is the second Wallent)
Plant is the other out - probably because of his shoulder.

Definitely would be up there in the race for the best Reserves team since.................(1992 GF?)

There's only eighteen (different) names on this list; is there a larger League squad named, or just afew names missing?

And I thought Braddles was injured still?

23 named in the League, so presumably 2 of them will come back to the Reserves (that's what happened last week)

Well according to the (often unreliable) Weekend Word which just got emailed out, 22 players were named in the Reserves - with the 4 extras being Vallance, Bradley, Longman and Tutt.

League side was as named in the paper, so if two get dropped back to the Reserves, 3 of the Reserves squad will have to find somewhere else to play this week.

the losing grand final team of 2005 would at least be on a par or maybe better, really hard to say.

a reliable source tells me that braddles got best for brighton last week and is fit but due to the rather low injury list (or lack of) there are a few players missing out this week

What happens to our players if league/ ressies full and player over 19? Is there a prefered club Glenelg makes them play for or do they go back to original club (S-E??)

They are farmed out to local clubs.

Also school footy has finished now, so all the college boys are back and available for the younger grades as well.

most play for glenelg affiliated clubs like brighton marion phos camden etc. but they are all in finals now so unless played 4 games for that club this season they cant play anywhere.

Reserves ended up winning by about 10 goals.

Norwood reserves lost, meaning the Bays have secured top spot on the ladder!

+ Congratulations on 10 wins in a row.

May not get as many people on the b grade bus though this year, there is another bigger bus gathering steam as well!

No, 13 goals

No, Norwood can still get top spot back if they thrash South next week and the Eagles thrash us.

No, 9 wins in a row.
Do you work for the Advertiser or something, Rushby :?:

Struth, you'd better email the magoos coach tomorrow, because at the presso's Gods announced it was their tenth win in a row!

(and would you believe me if he said they won by about 10 goals and can't lose top spot)
