the score line is justified with the lack of possessions by our young lads. with just 6 players getting over 14 touches and just over 250 touches for the game. last year the average would have been around 350/400? Ecky?? didnt see the game but were they totally out played? how are they copping with so many young kids?

We had 258 possessions compared to 334 from Sturt.

Last year we averaged 333 possessions in the Reserves. Keep in mind that though that in the game on Thursday night there were flat 25 minute quarters, and quite a bit of time was wasted retrieving balls from behind the goals, as there wasn't much of a crowd around during the game!

Sturt's team had much more experience than us, our team should at least look a bit better for round 1 with some more players dropping back from the League (probably Fosdike, Lally, Lewis, C Kane out with Bode in and the team reduced from 24 to 21.)

Very much outplayed. Was just too easy for the Sturt boys with the errors we made.

We did show reasonable signs in close being hard at it just second to the ball to often.

Our young fellas will be better for the hit out.
