Got of to a great start kicking into the wind to lead at qtr time and then extended the lead at Half Time.

Unfortunatly the 3rd qtr was a disaster. We could find anything to stop Sturt run on and than ran right over the top of us, as with those things we got nothing from the umpires in this period and they got a number of soft ones there way especially the short little bloke who could not bounce the ball straight to save himself.

Last qtr with the wind we looked to attach a a little more getting the ball in long and back we stormed till the last 5 minutes when we hit the lead they replied we hit the lead and then they replied and not long after the final siren went.

For me the big differences in the two teams we didn't have anyone big down back and there Full Forward kicked 8 and CHF kicked 4. They also backed themselves to run the ball and go direct where we tended to hold it up go sideways then attack forward.

A good learning experience that the boys will be better for next time one important thing always have someone out the back of the pack so that can't smash it forward and run onto it.

I think if we get another crack at Sturt we can beat them for sure next time. Kick a bit straighter and we were home.

Best players for me Snook, Redden, Drew, Sverdloff, Trembath, Clayfield, Hitchcock (just needs to use it better), Noonan and Bosley (not seen after half time possibly injured)
