Very surprised Ruwoldt third best, from what I saw he needs to work on his decision making and his disposal.
Might be biased but I thought Snook played well.
Butts definitely a class above everyone else today :D

How many times did he get caught holding the ball??
and
How many times when he had the ball went to dispose of it, change his mind and turned over possession??

Quite a few times from what I saw. May-Z have you got stats on that???

Butts was outstanding he was great in Ruck, Up forward and Down back. He also showed great leadership and voice giving instruction to others.

Was clearly a class above all others on the field.

At qtr time we were down 5 goals to 1 and it was looking like it would be a slow start to the season while the kids get use to playing against the bigger bodies. The next three qtrs were very good and we seemed to click as a unit and linked and combined well.

The thing that impressed the most was our ability to move people around and we lost nothing. Button, Sverdloff and Bennett all spent time rotating between the Ruck, Forward line and Bench with McGinty who lead the ruck last season playing mainly at CHB.

I was also surprised to see Roo listed as third best as he yes het got plenty of it but he did waste it through poor decision making and not giving the first give. Maybe this was a case of trying too hard to impresse and not just giving the first give.

Only down side was O'Grady going off in the last qtr and not appearing again until the warm downs with ice strapped to his calf.

Didn't really notice McGinty out there which I guess is a good thing as it possibly means that he did his job without doing anything outstanding.

I think he looked good in the Ruck last year and think that is where his future is but I guess he needs to develop his game in other positions as there isn't much room for players that can only play one position.
