U 18s v Port 29/05/2010

Postby Mods » Sat May 29, 2010 5:16 pm

Port smashed us at Alberton today in the wet. They were much more desperate and prepared to get their hands dirty.

As I left at the 22 min amrk of the last qtr scores were:

Port 13 20
Bays 4 7

33 scoring shots to 11 tells a story.

So in between 1980TM leaving and the final siren, we went back one goal....

Maybe we had 19 men on the field, they reset the score, and we kicked 3 really quick goals.

NB Richmond beat Port today in the Mini League @ AAMI by a couple of points, thats important news to share.

Apparently that happened on the peninsular last week - according to ABC radio this morning. A count called straight after 3/4 time and the team that was up by over 10 goals had 19 on the field because one of the reserves was a litle tardy getting across the line (2 metres). Score reset to zero and subsequently lost the game. But won on appeal where common sense prevailed.
