Snooky & Snooky in the same team. Well worth coming out bright & early to see
Play a similar style of footy - head down bum up, and can both kick goals
I hope they're both playing for the Bays together for many years to come
I love the Snookys

See Mayz, I told you Pat McCarthy was good...
Reserves won with the last kick if the game, U18 State player Darcy Armfield kicked a goal from out near the cricket nets and then some.
Never looked like missing!
10.14 to 10.12
There's more people who claim to be at the pocket to see the free then were at the tied test, apparently a poor decision. Hooray!
Also another guy from the u18's made his reserves debut, after playing yesterday as well.

A good win by a very young and inexperienced team.
It was our youngest reserves team since at least R1, 2003 (I only have the ages and teams from 2003 onwards in the database
)
And that includes the games when Bryce Gibbs played when he was 11 or something (well not quite that young...)
Youngest Reserves teams for Glenelg since 2003- Code: Select all
Average Age Round Year
19.5123287671233 13 2010
19.6892573900505 3 2006
19.7038486627528 8 2010
19.7078930202218 10 2010
19.7127201565558 12 2010
19.724200913242 5 2010
19.727701674277 17 2003
19.7323720259553 16 2003
19.7427701674277 4 2003
19.7681669928245 7 2010
hooray for my overuse of decimal places but I can't be stuffed making it more concise
(The ages are calculated to the day for each player, not just using whole numbers if anyone cares, apart from a few players that I am missing)
- Code: Select all
kicks-marks-handballs
18 4 11 Grima, Alex
16 4 10 McCarthy, Patrick
13 2 11 O'Grady, Richard
8 3 12 Cane, Nick
11 3 8 Plant, Robert
12 8 6 Curran, Chris
11 7 7 Knott, Patrick
6 1 11 Ramsey, Nick
7 5 7 McGinty, Warrick
0 0 14 Snook, Matthew (still waiting for his first kick - even Seb Guilhaus had a kick in his first 14 possessions!)
7 6 6 Clayfield, Drew
5 2 6 Pitt, Craig
4 2 7 McIntyre, Benjamin
9 6 1 Trembath, Joshua
8 1 2 Jackman, Spencer
7 2 3 Giddings, Joshua
8 5 1 Hill, Daniel
2 0 7 Bennett, Michael
7 1 0 Armfield, Darcy
4 2 3 Proud, Max
4 1 3 Snook, Shannon

Watched a South vs Eagles game earlier this year and the Eags supporters give a huge cheer on the (rare) occasions that Seb kicks the ball! They cottoned on quickly didn't they?

And to top it off, that amazing win puts the Ressies back in the 5.
Centrals are curently 8th so hopefully we can get a big win next week and boost up our percentage a bit.

From what I saw Sturt player tried to break through pack and had time to hand ball and got tackled so it was a fair enough decision. Great kick under pressure by the young fella.

I had a top vantage spot on the boundary, next to the goal square.
Absolutely agree
... he had an opportunity to handball but hesitated

Labastida, Henry
Laba won a flag for Saint Mary’s in Darwin this year with Landt.
Good 2s side three played the last game of 2019 and I reckon if Pitty hung around he would’ve too just quietly
