I found this on the club website:

"Ryan Willetts (sic) was reported for striking Ryan McGahey during the third quarter of the Reserves Grand Final. As Ryan returned to Melbourne immediately after the Grand Final, the tribunal hearing was scheduled for Tuesday November 15. Ryan pleaded not guilty to the charge. After considering all the evidence, Ryan was found not guilty and the charge was dismissed. Ryan will be eligible to play in the first game of the 2006 season."

Does anyone know for sure whether the correct spelling of his name is Willits or Willitts?

Doing a google search on his name, I found numerous mentions of BOTH spellings, on both official and unofficial sites, sometimes in the same article!

PS Gordon - it may have been Ryan McGahey who returned to Melbourne??? The article is not clear which Ryan they mean!

Fair question, the GFC website has it as Willets...that isn't correct at all.

I thought it was:

Willits

Surprised Warky didn't make a public appeal to get Ryzer suspended...worked for the hack before.

Settle TB, don't go there. A very unfortunate incident that one.

Ha, Ha

Must have been the very hard turf at Glenelg oval.

I think Scott Salisbury used to blame the hard turf for his wild acts of "who's your Daddy" on opponents over the years too...

Matty Reavill KO'd himself this year at the Bay by landing heavily...could be onto something :)
