Coaches report

RELL'S WRAP UP - RESERVES
Glenelg 10.7.67
Central District 11.7.73
Goals: T Cox 4, B Noble, 2, B Jordan, S Davis, S Walker, C Buchanan
The reserves set themselves a goal of bringing a four quarter effort. It was disappointing for the first 3 quarters where we lacked consistency and defensive pressure at critical times. Centrals made the most of that and held a comfortable 25 point lead at the last break.
To our credit we never gave up and fought the game out. The last quarter we held the opposition to just 2 points and kicked 3-3 going down by 6 points. The pressure and offensive movement improved and showed when we bring a strong pressure game that scoring opportunities will come. We move quickly onto the next game against West who will be keen to win on their home deck.

I would have had Jay Boyle in the league team before Brad Close. Not that I don't think Close has promise, just that Boyle has league experience and is physically much stronger.

There must be quite a few players who were on the fringe of league selection that have now left the club during the season.

Our depth will be exposed if we get a few more injuries
