Given how young the side was it was a very impressive effort today.

MARK'S MATCH REPORT - LEAGUE
Glenelg 6.10.46
Eagles 14.9.93
Really poor start in Q1 with eagles kicking 6 goals to none. They enjoyed 3 free kicks in their F50 which didn’t help us handing them 3 of their 6 goals.
The 2nd quarter was similar to the 1st - our ball use wasn’t good enough - driving it into our key forward double and triple teamed made it very difficult to score.
By half time 6 frees against in our D50 alone produced 4.2 for the eagles and a commanding lead.
We re-structured at the main break and produced some really good footy in Q3 having 9 shots to 1 but kicking 3.6.
Battled on in Q4 with the aim of just winning the quarter but we were unable to do that.

RELL'S WRAP UP - RESERVES
Glenelg 19.9.123
Eagles 5.11.41
This week saw the Glenelg Reserves come up against the Eagles. The Eagles have had some great wins at the Reserves level including two top five sides in Norwood and Centrals. So we were not sure about how the game would unfold.
Combine this with us playing three debutants and 7 players from the Under 18 program being named we knew we had to bring our best. Our focus was to play team football with high pressure and quick ball movement. For two of the four quarters we took time to settle and the Eagles were tenacious in their attack on the footy.
To our credit the playing group settled and brought their own pressure. Considering 14 minutes into the second quarter we held a 6 point lead to finish that quarter kicking 6 goals straight was indicative of the teams effort. The last half was also impressive with two 5 goal quarters to win the game by 82 points. We now have a bye and make the trek out to My Money to take on Centrals.
