We knew this game was going to be a challenge as North reserves were playing for 5 wins in a row. We won the first quarter kicking a couple of goals with a breeze but didn’t feel that we were playing our best football. Then North kicked 3 of their own with the wind to hold a 5 point lead at the main break.

Third quarter was an arm wrestle and coming into the last quarter North held a 7 point lead. We wasted our I50s and just couldn’t score.

The fourth quarter was when North showed their class having 5 more scoring shots kicking 5:3 to our 1:2 including 9 more I50s where they capitalised and sealed the game about half way through the last term.

We review, reset and have to quickly recover with a 5 day break and face West again Friday night at City Mazda Stadium, which is certainly a crunch game for our season
