What other info is there about this? I haven't heard of it over here, what age group are we talking?

Not actually sure, the press release from the SANFL doesn't actually say...


The Bays won one of these tournaments last year, for the U15's (I think)

Ah ok, if it is what i think it is, a very young Stevie K would have played in this with a black and red jumper ( :shock: ) on about 10 years ago!

It was a youth carnival where the zones would pick their teams and come up to Adelaide to play, with Country and Metro teams....

So yes, i wore West Adelaide colors that year!

TEAM OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
ANNOUNCED
Following two days of competition the SANFL, in conjunction with AAMI, is pleased to
announce the 2007 Country Youth Championship Team of the Championships.
2007 TEAM OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS –
A selection committee, consisting of SANFL Talent Manager Brenton Phillips and AFL Recruiting Officers
Geoff Parker (Port Adelaide) and Chris Smelt (Adelaide Crows), was appointed to identify a team of 22
players from across all participating teams over this two day competition. Selection was based entirely
on player performance during the Championships.
